HOW IS MY MONEY USED? The Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership is a non-profit organization. We rely upon individual contributions and foundation support to subsidize program expenses and support operations. Tuition fees do not cover the cost of training our students. At Woodhull we understand that to truly ensure an ethically just society all stakeholders must be trained to work together. Training amazing women from minority and lower socio economic backgrounds is a priority. Permanent economic advancement and improvements in the social consciousness of a community can only be accomplished when that community obtains the necessary skills to make it happen. Issues of morality, ethics and social justice can not be dictated by outside authorities, they must be cultivated within their own communities if they are to permanently be integrated within those cultures. In recognition of these truths the Board of Directors has committed to make all of our programming available to qualified candidates regardless of their ability to pay. Our vast scholarship program ensures that no qualified student is turned away due to their inability to afford Woodhull's training. The Board of Directors of Woodhull recognized early on how important it was to create a home of our own. A place where these talented leaders could go to work on their business proposals, write their plays, books and op-ed pieces. A place where they could meet to brain storm solutions for the problems that society faces. Our Ancramdale retreat center is that home. Maintenance of our 100 acre center is not covered through our programming income The Woodhull Board and Staff are always working on expanding and improving program offerings. Curriculum development and additional programs that reach women across the country are being developed. Efficiently reaching out to audiences across the country requires that we institute on line training. Capital to implement this program is sorely needed.
